Netflix and FIFA are teaming up on a new football title tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026 in the USA, Canada, and Mexico, with what they call a “reimagined” simulation game set to release in summer 2026.
The game is developed and published by Delphi Interactive, and will be exclusive to Netflix Games and available free of charge to Netflix members.
Netflix says the goal is a football sim that’s easy to pick up and master, with the option to play solo or with your friends online. Netflix Games president Alain Tascan said that they want it to be a simplified take on the video game football gameplay, so that anyone can enjoy the World Cup celebration.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino commented on the deal:
FIFA is very excited to team up with Netflix Games and Delphi Interactive ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026. This major collaboration is a key milestone in FIFA’s commitment to innovation in the football gaming space, which aspires to reach billions of football fans of all ages everywhere in the world and will be redefining the pure notion of simulation games. Our reimagined game truly marks the beginning of a new era of digital football. It will be available for free to Netflix members and is a great historic step for FIFA.
Casper Daugaard, Founder & CEO of Delphi Interactive, added that everyone on the development team is a lifelong FIFA fan, so it’s a great honor for them to reimagine this legendary series and help create something with a true global reach.
Delphi Interactive is still relatively unknown compared to traditional sports-game developers, and none of the companies involved shared any gameplay or even a hint at how long the game has been in development. Netflix and FIFA both said more details will arrive in 2026.

This is FIFA’s most visible gaming partnership since its decades-long relationship with Electronic Arts ended in 2022. EA and FIFA split after failing to reach a new licensing agreement, with FIFA 23 serving as the final EA title under the FIFA name. EA rebranded its football series into EA Sports FC and didn’t see any perceptible decline in sales or engagement. EA Sports FC 26 is selling like hotcakes.
For now, the deal is a bit of a headscratcher: a World Cup-themed FIFA game, exclusive to Netflix Games, designed for mobile devices first, and potentially playable on TV in supported regions. Modes, licenses, teams, monetization, and how good a simulation it really is all remain to be seen.
