KitKat Zebra has arrived in the UK and it’s made with white and dark chocolate

With its creamy milk chocolate coating and crispy wafer filling, the original four-finger KitKat bar from our childhoods is still a firm favourite in Britain, but now there's a fancy new version on the horizon.

KitKat Zebra is a marvellous take on the classic sweet treat, featuring the same crispy wafer on a dark chocolate base, but instead topped with marbled dark and white chocolate.

It also boasts a stripy pattern that's inspired by the majestic animal of Africa.

With bold packaging to match, the four-finger treat will be available in stores across the UK and Ireland later this month.

Callum Smith, Assistant Brand Manager for KitKat said: "KitKat Zebra brings you the best of both worlds - combining deliciously rich dark and white chocolate with our crispy wafer – and we hope fans will agree that it tastes as good as it looks.

"All we can say is, stripes are definitely in this season!"

The new stripy treat follows last year’s KitKat Gold, which was originally launched as a limited edition but proved so popular that it's now a permanent addition to the range.

It is made using Rainforest Alliance certified cocoa, and is free of any artificial colours, flavours and preservatives.

A 41.5g bar is priced 85p, but retailers are free to set their own prices.

It'll be available at major supermarkets including Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Morrisons from February 8th, while other supermarkets and convenience stores will sell them from February 15.

KitKat Zebra bars will also be sold in a multipack (3 x 41.5g bars) exclusively in Tesco stores from March.

Want to get your hands on some free chocolate? Of course you do.

Here's how to get £10 worth of free chocolate from Hotel Chocolat in time for Valentine’s Day.
