Nessa lays down the law once more during Gavin & Stacey filming in Barry Island

Ruth Jones has gone full Nessa once again to warn a "noisy Barry rabble" to be quiet during filming on Barry Island.

Barry has been buzzing with Gavin & Stacey fans this month as the show returned to film a one-off Christmas special.

The excitement has led to daily crowds gathering at filming locations around the seaside town eager to spot a few of the iconic cast members.

On Tuesday afternoon, while still in character, Ruth Jones told fans on the promenade: "We needs you to be quiet now, alrigh'?".

Laying down the law, she said: "You're making far too much noise. You're like a rabble. You're a noisy Barry rabble.

"If you stays quiet during filming I will come out and have photos alrigh'? If you don't - I won't. Simple as. Life is full of choices and this is one you've got to make."

When crowds shouted their agreement with the deal, she offered the standard response: "Crackin'."

The moment was captured on video by a fan of the show from Grangetown, Cardiff.

Stars from the show have been interacting with fans with good humour throughout the production of the Christmas special.

Last week, Ruth Jones was seen giving one Trinity Street resident the full force of Nessa Shanessa Jenkins' acerbic tongue this week after daring to mention he'd heard complaints about the production .

And several stars joined a hen party in a Cardiff nightclub Tiger Tiger last week.

On Monday, Alison Steadman and Larry Lamb, who play Pam and Mick alongside Joanna Page.

The Christmas special, with Matthew Horne and Joanna Page in the usual title roles, will air on BBC One on Christmas Day.

Filming has been taking place in and around Barry  in the last few weeks and fans have been turning out in their hundreds in a bid to meet the cast.
