Nescafé urgently recalls popular coffee product as it may be unsafe to drink

Coffee brand Nescafé is urgently warning its customers to return one of its items.

Lactalis Nestlé Chilled Dairy UK, a sister company of Nestlé, is pulling its Nescafé Shakissimo Espresso Latte 190ml item from shelves.

It is being recalled because a batch may be contaminated with residues of a cleaning solution containing hydrogen peroxide - this means it is unsafe for people to drink, the Liverpool Echo reports.

The FSA issues Product Withdrawal Information Notices and Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food.
