Nemanja Matic lauded Dean Henderson for fighting back from an early mistake to make a vital late save for Manchester United against Sheffield United.
Henderson's early error landed United in trouble against the Blades, as the former Sheffield United loanee — on just his third league appearance for the Reds — was challenged by Oliver Burke and allowed David McGoldrick to make it 1-0 at Bramall Lane.
But United fought back, as has been their style away from home this season, thanks to Rashford and an Anthony Martial strike. The visitors then saw out a 3-2 victory — but were indebted to Henderson's late stop from Lys Mousset to retain the lead.
Matic told MUTV after the game of his belief Henderson will become a top keeper for United.
"Mistakes are part of football, part of life, so it doesn't matter," said the Serbian midfielder on Henderson.
"Sometimes he will make mistakes, sometimes he will save us like he did towards the end. We believe that he's a top goalkeeper and he'll be important for us."
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer also expressed his gratitude for that late Henderson save, after castigating the United keeper and his whole side for their sloppy start.
"He [Henderson] dillied and dallied on the ball for the first goal," Solskjaer said.
"We saw the good and bad from him today because he made a great save towards the end. We made it difficult for ourselves again after a slow start but then we played some brilliant stuff."
