Nemanja Matic believes it is up to Manchester United's players to prove they have what it takes to end the club's trophy drought.
The Red Devils have not claimed any silverware since their Europa League success in 2017 under Jose Mourinho.
They have shown signs of progression during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's tenure, but the club fell short at the semi-final hurdle three times last term.
They have already lost in the last four this season having been beaten by Manchester City in the Carabao Cup.
United remain in contention for the Europa League and the FA Cup, with a last eight clash against Leicester this weekend.
“We are coming to the end of the season so the quarter-finals and semi-finals are waiting for us," Matic told the club's official website.
We have to show our character, our quality, and we have to show that we are ready to win some titles.”
United are among the favourite's to win Europe's secondary club competition.
AC Milan grabbed a late away goal at Old Trafford giving them a slight advantage in Thursday's clash.
Solskjaer's side will need to score at least once, but Matic feels their style of play lends itself to attacking football.
He added: “We will play our football because we are not a team that only defends. We always want to score more goals.
"I think we will play our football the same way we are always trying.
“We train every day and we will see. We are ready to compete and we have 90 minutes to show our quality.
“Now we know more about them. We know the way they play. We have to be wary that they are a top team.
“They play good football, they have a good coach and it’s going to be an interesting game.
"It’s going to be hard for us again, but we are confident and we will try to win the game.”
