It has now been over a month with no football as the Premier League suspension continues because of the coronavirus pandemic around the world.
Action has been put on hold with a return date indefinite, although there is a determination to finish the current campaign as soon as it is safe to do so.
Although there is no current action on the pitch, no games mean extra time to reflect back on past games and goals.
That is exactly what Manchester United did on Instagram, showing Marcus Rashford’s free-kick against Chelsea from a number of different angles.
The goal came in the Carabao Cup fourth round back in October, a game which United won 2-1 thanks to a Brace from the England international.
However, commenting on the post from the club, Rashford’s teammate Nemanja Matic had a brutal one-word response.
“Lucky,” the midfielder wrote. Rashford though saw the funny side of it, replying with a shushing face and wolf emoji.
Matic then replied again with a laughing face and a heart.
The free-kick was voted as United’s goal of the month for October.
Rashford has scored 19 goals in all competitions this season, with a further two coming in the Carabao Cup as United made it to the semi-final.
The striker is currently out with a back injury but has given an update on his condition .
"I'm ready to step it up a little bit now, it's difficult to do with not being in the training ground," he told UTD podcast.
"I've just added a few bits and pieces and am pushing myself a bit more on the bike, doing some more core work and upper body. Just day-by-day really, taking it slow."
