Nemanja Matic is ready and raring for more minutes on the pitch ahead of Manchester United's return to action.
The second international break of the season has now come to an end and United will be back in Premier League competition on Saturday when they travel to face Leicester City, marking the start of a tough run of fixtures for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side.
With Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City, as well as Atalanta home and away in the Champions League, all to come, the next few weeks could be paramount in United's hopes of silverware this season.
One man who is ready to give his all for the side in the difficult spell is Matic, who has started just twice in the Premier League and in Europe so far in the campaign.
The defensive midfielder feels that he is in good form and is chomping at the bit for more chances in the side.
"I think I’m playing well, every time I have the chance," he told United Review .
"Physically, I feel great. Of course, you always want to play more and more but the manager is the man who decides. I am always ready to play. I am happy to play, to help my team, and, yeah, I feel good.
"I had a fantastic pre-season, a full pre-season from day one. I am happy and motivated for the rest of the season."
Matic was then asked about his ability to contribute at the attacking end of the pitch after his assists for Jesse Lingard's recent late winner for West Ham, and he stated that he will always give his everything he has to the team.
"I always try to do my best," the Serb added. "Sometimes, of course, you play very good and, sometimes, not as good, but, as I said, I do my best and I think people will respect that."
