Nemanja Matic explains why Solskjaer has improved as Manchester United manager

Nemanja Matic believes Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is constantly improving as Manchester United's manager as a result of the experience he is getting while on the job.

Solskjaer's 14 months in charge have been packed with ups and downs but United have found some consistency of late, winning five and drawing two of their last seven games.

United are in the last 16 of both the FA Cup and the Europa League, and will move into the top four of the Premier League this weekend if they beat Everton and Chelsea lose away to Bournemouth.

Matic himself has enjoyed a renaissance in 2020, featuring in 12 of United's 13 games, and the Serb has praised his manager ahead of Sunday's trip to Goodison Park.

"Every day he is improving for sure, getting more experience and for sure he will be better and better, like every manager," Matic told Sky Sports.

"Carlo Ancelotti now and 20 years ago, for sure he is not the same. He knows more and he's got more experience. For sure it will be the same with Ole.

"He is a much better manager than he was one year ago in my opinion, because now he knows our players, he knows exactly what he needs to do before the game and after the game. I think for his job, the experience is very important."
