Nelly Korda clinched victory at the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship in a dramatic playoff against Ryann O'Toole, securing her second win of the year and reclaiming the top spot in the world rankings. Korda, who carded a 2-under 69, displayed resilience after making bogeys on her final two holes, ultimately sinking a crucial 12-foot birdie putt to seal the win.

This triumph mirrored her earlier success at the Drive On Championship in January, where she overcame a late collapse with an eagle-birdie finish to emerge victorious. Korda's strategic play on the par-5 14th hole, culminating in an eagle putt, proved pivotal in her latest triumph.

O'Toole, who delivered a strong performance with a 66, forced the playoff with a remarkable 20-foot par putt on the 18th hole. However, Korda's composure under pressure shone through as she secured the win with a birdie in the playoff.

Having opted to skip the Asia swing, Korda returned to the course after a significant break, initially grappling with rustiness before finding her rhythm. The challenging weather conditions, characterized by wind and cold, added an extra layer of difficulty to the tournament.

Despite the tough conditions, Korda embraced the challenge, describing the weekend as 'brutal' yet highlighting the artistic aspect of playing in such circumstances. Jiyai Shin, a former world No. 1, started strongly but faltered with a double bogey on the 12th hole, ultimately finishing tied for fifth.

Gabriela Ruffels and Alison Lee secured third place, with Ruffels narrowly missing out on the playoff after needing a birdie on the final hole. Korda's victory propelled her back to the summit of the women's world rankings, displacing Lilia Vu.

Overall, Korda's victory at the Fir Hills Seri Pak Championship showcased her resilience and skill under pressure, solidifying her status as one of the top players in women's golf.
