Ticketmaster has announced that rapper Nelly's European tour has been postponed to an unconfirmed later date.

This means that Nelly's performance in Belfast, at the Telegraph Building, will not take place next week.

In a statement released this afternoon, Ticketmaster confirmed that the singer would be rescheduling his entire European tour until a later date.

Their statement read: "Owing to the ongoing travel throughout Europe [COVID-19], Nelly has been forced to reschedule his European tour, incl performance at The Telegraph Building, Belfast. New date tbc very soon, all tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date."

The news comes as rock band The Lightning Seeds have also been forced to cancel their weekend show at Belfast's Limelight venue.

The gig, which was set to take place on March 14, has been rescheduled to May 27.

The band have also moved their Dublin show, which was set to take place on March 15, to May 28.

In a statement, Limelight said: "Due to the ongoing issues surrounding COVID-19, Lightning Seeds have unfortunately had to reschedule their Belfast date tomorrow night to Wednesday 27 May 2020. All tickets remain valid for the new date."
