Neiman Marcus shuffles top jobs as it hires Williams Sonoma president

DALLAS — Neiman Marcus has hired a new president from Williams Sonoma to accelerate the Dallas-based luxury retailer’s growth strategy and strengthen the customer experience.

Ryan Ross will become president of Neiman Marcus effective Aug. 15 and report to CEO Geoffroy van Raemdonck.

Ross had been at Williams Sonoma as executive vice president since 2017 before being promoted to president of the multi-brand home furnishings retail company in 2019.

“Neiman Marcus is the pinnacle of luxury and maintains the strongest customer relationships in the industry,” Ross said. “I look forward to working with a talented team of integrated luxury retail experts to create exceptional experiences for our customers, brand partners and associates.”

Van Raemdonck said Ross has “a proven track record of achieving rapid growth and optimizing customer-centric experiences.” He was previously executive vice president of marketing and digital at HSN and has held leadership positions at Harrods, Pottery Barn and Gap.

Ross is filling a new position. Neiman Marcus president and chief merchandising officer Lana Todorovich will continue in her job and report to Ross.

Todorovich was one of the first executives hired by van Raemdonck and has been there since 2019. She will continue to manage “the important relationships with brand partners,” the company said in a statement.

Two more high-level departures were confirmed by the company.

David Goubert, chief customer officer, is leaving after more than three years with Neiman Marcus “to pursue personal interests, including his passion for social impact businesses.”

Natalie Lockhart, a senior vice president over strategy and execution who reported directly to van Raemdonck, is leaving as part of the reorganization related to the addition of Ross.
