Neil Warnock will not be charged for confronting officials after Cardiff vs Chelsea

Neil Warnock will not face any action for confronting referee Craig Pawson and his officials at the end of Cardiff's defeat to Chelsea on Sunday.

Cardiff boss Warnock angrily confronted the officials at the end of the game after Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta's goal was allowed to stand despite TV replays showing it was yards offside.

However, the FA could yet take action against Warnock for his post-match comments implying big club bias but have yet to make an announcement on that issue.

"The biggest and best league in the world but probably the worst officials at the minute," Warnock said after the game.

"What can I say about my lads? They were brilliant and it made for a great game. It kicks you in the teeth. We've had enough of them this year.

Is Neil Warnock right about referees favouring 'big' Premier League clubs?

"I am deflated because we have worked hard for this game and felt we could win it.

"Against the big teams, you have to have VAR because you don't get the big decisions. The equalising goal is the winning goal really, and if you can't see across the line and see offside I don't know why we are in the game.

"I spoke to them and they feel as bad as I did. He said that Willian blocked his view.

"Surely you can see either side that he was two yards offside. It is similar to when we played Watford .

"Little things, we don’t get major decisions I’m afraid. We have had a major blow but we have to go again."

Warnock's let-off for his actions at the end of the game - even though he deliberately did not say anything and just angrily stood in front of Pawson - could anger Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino got a touchline ban for confronting referee Mike Dean at the end of Tottenham's defeat at Burnley last month.
