Middlesbrough manager Neil Warnock told Everton loanee Jarrad Branthwaite that he "should be ashamed" after an incident during Blackburn's win over his side on Sunday.
Rovers took a 1-0 victory away from the Riverside this weekend thanks to a strike in the second half from Joe Rothwell, helping them move up to ninth in the Championship table.
Branthwaite started the match in the centre of defence and was involved in a first-half incident which could have easily seen him give away a penalty.
The Everton loanee attempted to clear a cross into the Blackburn box in the first half but accidentally made contact with Dael Fry's face, leaving the Boro man bloody and in need of treatment.
Warnock could reportedly be heard after the incident berating the officials, and then confronted the Blues man himself after the final whistle.

The 18-year-old has played two matches for his new side since joining them temporarily this month, helping Rovers pick up four points in that time.
