Neil Warnock shocked by the bizarre thing Maurizio Sarri complained about in Chelsea victory

Chelsea managed to scrape three points against Cardiff City on Sunday afternoon, however the match was certainly not without its controversy.

After Victor Camarasa gave the Bluebirds the lead early in the second half, the Blues looked like they would not be able to respond. Cesar Azpilicueta popped up with the equaliser, though, but it left Neil Warnock and the Cardiff fans fuming.

The Chelsea skipper was a good yard offside when Marcos Alonso flicked the ball into his path, but linesman Eddie Smart did not see it and the Blues then went on to score the winner with Ruben Loftus-Cheek the hero for the visitors.

Sarri wrong over Chelsea fans & Higuain a huge issue – Talking points from Cardiff win

Warnock and Maurizio Sarri appeared to come together in an argument, however the Cardiff boss said that wasn't the case but did reveal the bizarre thing Sarri himself was complaining about.

"He was moaning about a bloody throw-in or something," Warnock joked. "I said: 'Sarri, do you not know he was two yards offside? You should be patting him on the back, not complaining about a throw-in!

"He didn't realise he was offside, he said, and [Gianfranco] Zola came in after as well."

Sarri stated after the game as well that he hadn't seen the offside decision, but understood why Warnock was so angry with the officials.

"He told me about the referee's decision. It wasn't a problem with me at all. But I can understand the situation because they are fighting to save themselves. Today was really a very important match for them.

"They were winning ten minutes from the end, so I understand very well the situation and I understand very well him."
