Neil Warnock's message for under-fire Garry Monk ahead of Sheffield Wednesday facing Nottingham Forest

Neil Warnock has given his support to under pressure Sheffield Wednesday boss Garry Monk ahead of their game against Nottingham Forest.

Wednesday were beaten for a ninth time in 14 games as they lost 5-0 to Brentford at the weekend, leaving Monk in a perilous position.

Despite the poor performances, Warnock, issued his support for Monk.

“Garry will be disappointed with some of the defending," Warnock told EFL on Quest.

"It is a horrible feeling as a manager, that. It is difficult, you have got to go and face the press straight after a humbling, really, and some of the goals he will be disappointed with.

"It is a horrible situation to be in. We have all been there and you have just got to carry on and try to be positive.”

Wednesday will look to bounce back against Forest at Hillsborough on Saturday. Despite the 12 point gap between the teams, Monk's side have a good record against Forest.

They won nine out of the last 10 meetings between the sides, with the Owls winning 4-0 at the City Ground in November.
