Neil Warnock gives his verdict on Leeds United's Premier League prospects

Former Leeds United manager Neil Warnock has backed the Whites to succeed in the Premier League next season.

Warnock was one of 14 managers that were unable to drag the club back into the top flight since their 2004 relegation, with Marcelo Bielsa overseeing an unforgettable 2019-20 campaign which saw them win the Championship by ten points.

As Leeds prepare for their return to English football's top table, Warnock who was in charge at Elland Road for 13 months between 2012 and 2013 has weighed on their prospects back next term.

"They [Leeds] tried to throw it away before," he told talkSPORT. "But I love Leeds, it’s a fantastic club, brilliant fans.

“They’ll hold their own, they’ll definitely hold their own in the Premier League.

“The other two I’m not so sure. I think Fulham have got a better squad than West Brom.”

Warnock returned to management in June when he replaced another Leeds United old boy Jonathan Woodgate as Middlesbrough boss.

After guiding them to safety and a 17th place finish he confirmed that he would be remaining at the Riverside for the 2020-21 season.
