Neil Warnock appears to tell Gary Lineker to ‘f*** off’ before Match of the Day interview

Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock appeared to tell Match of the Day host Gary Lineker to “f*** off” after being caught on camera on Saturday evening.

In footage circulating on social media, the 70-year-old was allegedly broadcast on Canadian television while preparing for a post-match interview on BBC's flagship football highlights show.

As both Warnock and journalist are setting up, Warnock's voice can be heard saying: "Match of the Day? Tell Gary Lineker to f*** off.

"Oh, have you caught that on camera? He called me Colin. Can I say 'It's Colin here'. You don't know why I'm Colin do you? You do. Right."

The Cardiff manager's nickname 'Colin' comes from an anagram of his name.

Lineker, who is very active on Twitter, tweeted in response to comments Warnock made about Brexit with: "Oh Colin."

Warnock had told reporters in January: "I can't wait to get out of it, if I'm honest. I think we'll be far better out of the bloody thing. In every aspect. Football-wise as well, absolutely. To hell with the rest of the world."

Lineker is yet to comment on social media and made no mention of it on Saturday evening's Match of the Day.
