Neil McCann trolled over Celtic spot-kick as 'disrespectful' Odsonne Edouard remark leads to Sportscene ribbing

Neil McCann has laughed off the Odsonne Edouard panenka storm as he praised the Celtic hero's Hamilton spot-kick.

The Frenchman scored from the spot as  Celtic  won a historic quadruple Treble on penalties after a 3-3 draw at Hampden.

It drew a furious reaction from the former Rangers winger McCann who dubbed the cheeky chipped finish disrescpectful.

Hoops' boss Neil Lennon fired back at the comments from pundit McCann stating those criticising his star man where talking "complete and utter nonsense".

The striker was again on target from the spot against Hamilton but opted against the panenka finish, leading to the McCann taking a roasting on BBC Sportsound as he joked about the fallout.

On the penalty, Michael Stewart said: "(It was) Slightly disrespectful to stick it right in the corner.

Before Steven Thompson chimed in: "I thought he might have gone for the panenka."

McCann laughed: "Disgrace, that’s a penalty, that’s how to take a penalty."
