Neil Lennon video labelled "disgusting" and condemned by Rangers legend Ally McCoist

Rangers legend Ally McCoist has labelled a video of ex-Celtic boss Neil Lennon, in which he is verbally abused, as “a disgrace”.

A video has been circulated on social media of the former Bhoys’ boss, who resigned as Celtic manager in February.

According to the Daily Record, it is believed to have been filmed in England on Tuesday.

At the end of the clip, a man can be heard shouting: "See you Neil, you ginger c***” in the direction of Lennon.

McCoist, the 57-year-old Rangers legend, maintains friendly relations with Lennon despite their past positions on the opposite side of the Glasgow divide.

But speaking on talkSPORT, he admitted he had been left appalled by the video.

“I find stuff like this disgusting. We don’t know what state they’re in and how vulnerable they feel.”

"It shouldn't be allowed, it simply shouldn't be allowed.

"It's a complete and utter invasion of his privacy. It's as simple as that.

"And by the way, there but for the grace of god. I have been worse for wear with alcohol and it looks as though that's been the case with Neil here.

"I have been there so I'm not going to preach to anybody about it but what I will say is I think the invasion of his privacy is a disgrace.

"I cannot for the life of me - That is one of the worst inventions in the world, the camera phone.

"It gives people the opportunity to take absolute liberties and it's a scandal."

McCoist would also add: "I just find it unbelievable that anybody in a situation where somebody needs help would film it rather than help.

“What's that all about?"
