Neil Lennon says will to win of Celtic team is 'best he's ever seen' as he points to overlooked quality

Neil Lennon says the will to win of his current Celtic side is the "best he's ever seen".

The Hoops boss heaped praise on his players after they overcame Aberdeen 2-0 at Hampden to secure their spot in a fourth consecutive Scottish Cup final.

Celtic now stand on the verge of an historic quadruple treble, with Hearts the opponents when they return to Hampden on December 20.

First half goals from Ryan Christie and Moi Elyounoussi secured the final spot.

And afterwards, when asked about how his players were feeling about the quadruple treble opportunity, Lennon told BBC Sportsound: "They are buzzing. It's an amazing achievement if they can do it. They've got one more game to go. It's going to be difficult. Hearts produced a great performance and result yesterday.

"These players. Their focus, desire and will to win is one of the best I've ever seen. They are achieving greatness as they go along and sometimes that gets overlooked at times.

"I'm really proud of them. I think the fans should be proud of them as well. We want to finish it off in a bit of style when we can but we know we're up against a very motivated opponent."

Tom Rogic enjoyed a strong performance from Celtic just a few months after appearing to be on the verge of a move away from the club.

Lennon was delighted with the performance of the Australian, adding: "He's a class player. He's had difficulties with injuries. It's been frustrating for him.

"But we know what we've got with him. He's a joy to watch at times and that was the case again today. He showed his class in big moments."
