Neil Lennon's Celtic press conference in full as boss reacts to Mohamed Elyounoussi transfer poser

Neil Lennon admits he's delighted with Mohamed Elyounoussi but believes it's too early to consider a permanent move for the winger.

The Celtic boss was quizzed over a potential transfer for the on-loan Southampton star next summer at his Friday press conference.

Elyounoussi endured a difficult season at 2018/19 campaign St Mary's after a £16million switch from Molde.

He's finding his feet again with the Premiership champions, providing four goals and three assists in eight appearances so far.

Lennon replied with a firm "no" when asked if he'd already decided whether he wants the Norwegian at Parkhead full-time, but he's been thoroughly impressed with his contribution so far.

Lennon said: "He's not done enough but he's done very well.

"Again, we're talking about affordability here, he's not our player.

"We're grateful to have him. It's worked out very well so far, we're delighted with the contribution he's making and the way he's playing.

"He's brought an added dimension to the team. But whether or not a permanent deal can be done down the line, I can't answer that at the minute.

Lennon previewed Saturday's Betfred Cup semi-final against Hibs at Hampden and discussed the injury issues facing Scott Brown and Vakoun Bayo.

The Celtic captain is "doubtful" for the last four showdown while Bayo is set to visit a specialist on Monday.
