Neil Lennon's Celtic press conference in full as boss jokes 'don't go there' over 13 year disappointment

Celtic manager Neil Lennon faces a selection headache in midfield as questions remain over whether Scott Brown will be given the chance to complete the quadruple Treble.

Some fans believe David Turnbull and Ismaila Soro should be given the opportunity in Sunday's Scottish Cup Final ahead of the Parkhead old guard with Tom Rogic also in the frame.

Lennon previously said he'd like the players that got the Hoops to Hampden to feature against Hearts but now insists there will be "no sentimentality" in his thinking.

And he laughed when Brown's situation was compared to his own predicament shortly before leaving Celtic.

The current boss was set to depart after the 2007 Scottish Cup Final against Dunfermline but was substituted early in his own swan song before Jean-Joel Perrier-Doumbe struck a late winner.

"Don't go there - it took me 13 years to get over that," Lennon joked. "It is a different situation.

"I probably made a mistake by saying around March that I was going to leave at the end of the season and then it was like death by a 1,000 cuts, it dragged on and on.

"In Scott's case he has got at least to the end of this season to play and maybe longer. It is not as if this is going to be Scott's swan song if he plays.

"It's not. Hopefully we can negotiate and try to maybe get to another cup final at the end of the season and he could and maybe should be involved in that as well.

"I mean there's a lot of talk of whether I start him or not or start this one or not, it will be my decision and we will make the right decision for the club."
