Neil Lennon reckons Leigh Griffiths still has 'a bit to do' to get back to best form

Neil Lennon feels Leigh Griffiths still has "a bit to do" before he hits peak form.

The forward netted a brilliant hat-trick in the convincing 5-0 victory over St Mirren at Celtic Park – a win which takes the league leaders 16-points clear at the top.

However, while delighted with his impact, Lennon reckons there's even more to come from the 29-year-old.

He told BBC Scotland: "He's got a bit to do.

"But that's far more like him. He's been working hard ever since the beginning of the year, I don't know how many goals he's got now, maybe that's him up to 11 which is a great return considering he hasn't played that much.

"We know what we've got with him. I'm just pleased for him on a personal level. He's come a long, long way and that will mean a lot to him today.

"It's fantastic, another fantastic day for us. Clean sheet and five great goals to top off what was a very efficient performance from us today."
