Neil Lennon open to potential career move to Middle East

Former Celtic boss Neil Lennon has revealed he is open to a career move to the Middle East.

The Northern Irishman is out of work after leaving Parkhead in February in the midst of a disastrous Scottish Premiership campaign and has been in the football wilderness since.

However, he now appears to be keen on a return to the dugout, admitting he is keen to go overseas to manage.

The 50-year-old reckons he has a good knowledge of the game in the Middle East through some of the players he has worked with at Celtic, reports the Daily Record..

Appearing on football management agency Scoutpush's social media, which is operated by agent Dudu Dahan, he admitted he would be interested in the shock Israel switch.

When asked if he would consider the move abroad, Lennon said: "Yes, absolutely.

"For starters, Israel is a beautiful country. I have a great affiliation with Israel, with the football, because of the players I have worked with and people I have met like Dudu, friends and colleagues over the years.

"I have a good relationship with Dudu, who is a big agent in Israel, and he brought me lots of players.

"I have always kept an eye on the bigger clubs, like Maccabi, like Be'er Sheva, even Ashdod because we took Efe Ambrose from there originally.

"So definitely, it would be something that I am interested in. I have always wanted to work abroad."
