Neil Lennon makes Celtic line-up hint as he talks up Scott Brown Scottish Cup Final starting 'chance'

Neil Lennon has fired off another hint that captain Scott Brown may be reinstated to a starting slot for the Scottish Cup Final against Hearts.

Brown has dropped out of the engine room in victories over Lille and Kilmarnock with Ismaila Sora coming in.

The Ivory Coast midfielder has impressed with his energy and defensive nous helping his team to show steady improvement.

But with a quadruple Treble on the line against the Jambos in last season's delayed final, Lennon has already said he's keen to show faith with those who's toil got the club in position to achieve history.

And he hinted that Brown may well return to lead his side out at Hampden.

He said: "Scott has been fantastic and he is quite a unique individual. He has carried the dressing room for a long, long time.

"He is an icon at the club a modern-day great. And he may have a chance of starting on Sunday!"

The Scottish Cup Final offers Celtic a chance to make history and secure an achievement of gargantuan scale.

To win four trebles in a row is the kind of dominance that Scottish football has never seen before, and Lennon is sure that he will not live to see it repeated.

He told the BBC: "To win a 12th trophy in a row would probably never be seen again. Certainly not in my lifetime.

"It's really important for me personally as a manager as it would be my first Treble.

"And also for the players to finish off a great four years for the club.

"In terms of the league, there is a long way to go. Will a win on Sunday help convince the doubters? You may never convince them.

"This is a blue riband period for the club and we should enjoy it not turn away at the first sign of things not going so well."
