Neil Lennon makes Albian Ajeti and Odsonne Edouard Celtic prediction as he details Hoops new boy's qualities

Neil Lennon insists Albian Ajeti and Odsonne Edouard can strike up a strong partnership for Celtic.

The Hoops boss believes the pair can link up strong as he hinted at a return to the successful 3-5-2 formation that Celtic used in the latter part of last season.

Lennon returned to one up front in his two games this campaign but the signing of Ajeti provides him with options to switch it up.

And he's backed Ajeti to put his difficult West Ham spell behind him and kick-on at Celtic Park.

He told CelticTV: "I’m delighted. It’s a great signing for us, it’s an area we wanted to strengthen and we’ve been following the player for quite a while.

"We’re delighted he’s decided to come join us now.

"He had a bit of a tough time at West Ham but that happens in players careers, he’s come here hungry and wanting to play and he’ll add a lot of firepower to what we have.

"You’ve got Odsonne (Edouard) there, they’ll be a good partnership as well, then his dialog with his midfield players.

"He won’t take too long to integrate, he’s been playing British football for over a year now and he had a very successful time at a really good club in Basel, so he’s got the pedigree.

"I just hope he hits the ground running and settles down.

"It’s been a difficult year for him, not playing the amount of games he would have wanted to but that’s all behind him and he’s got a fresh start now.

"We’re looking forward to seeing him play and I’m sure he’s looking forward to it as well."

Lennon has also told fans to expect a strong striker with excellent finishing as he talked up the Swiss international.

He added: “He’s a really good centre forward. He’s really intelligent, his movement is good and technically he’s really good. He’s strong and he’s an excellent finisher off both feet.”
