Neil Lennon has emerged as one of the shock early favourites for the Sheffield United job after Chris Wilder left the club on Friday.
Wilder left his role at the Blades today after five years at Bramall Lane and the former Celtic boss is now the second favourite for his job.
Tensions between Wilder and club owner Abdullah Bin Musa'ad Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud have heightened recently.
Reports suggest there have been clashes with ownership over plans to appoint a director of football, with Prince Abdullah feeling Wilder's recruitment record has been below par.
Following his exit BetVictor have placed Lennon at 8/1 for the job, second only behind former Hibs boss and Blades coach Paul Heckingbottom at 4/5.

Lennon left Celtic last month after a disappointing defeat to Ross County as his side lost out in their 10 In A Row bid.
His time at the club ended in disappointment with fans protesting outside Celtic Park in a bid to get him to leave.
But on Thursday Lennon revealed he's determined to get back into management and said he reckons it will be sooner rather than later.
When asked if he'll be back in the dugout, he responded: “Yes, absolutely.
“I’ve had a bit of a break, stayed in the house like everybody else is doing at the minute.
“But I’m sure I’ll get the itch sooner rather than later.”
Sheffield United have lost 22 of their 28 Premier League matches but have reached the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, where they travel to Chelsea next weekend.
