Neil Lennon insists Celtic's strike duo are here to stay as boss tasks pair with reigniting Rangers race

Celtic manager Neil Lennon insists he will be continuing his strike partnership of Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths for the foreseeable future.

Both of the strikers grabbed a goal before David Turnbull capped a 3-0 win over Hamilton Accies in a soaking Boxing Day battle.

The pair fired Celtic to their ninth Premiership title in a row last season and they showed their chemistry on many occasions in Lanarkshire on Saturday despite the best efforts of Storm Bella to disrupt play.

Edouard set up Griffiths for the second goal that effectively ended the game as a contest and the manager insists they'll be the starting strikers going forward with the latter back to full fitness.

Lennon's side now face Dundee United during the week before a mammoth derby day against Rangers and when asked if he planned to stick with the partnership, he told Sky Sports: "Yeah, I've got two good strikers there.

"The link up for the second goal was great.

"I felt everyone today looked more like themselves, There was a fluency to the movement and the running off the ball was all there for us today.

"On a really awful day they could have thrown the towel in but they didn't, they went the other way.

"They got what they deserved, it was a great performance and a great win."
