Neil Lennon in telling Celtic reaction as manager calls upon old thunder in Lille victory

It's not just results that have been concerning Celtic fans in recent weeks but the body language on the touchline.

When Neil Lennon was first appointed back in 2010 he pledged to bring the thunder back but in a run of two wins in 12 games the manager looked like he was living under a cloud.

A win in a dead rubber Europa League game won't assuage all the supporters' concerns but the 3-2 victory over Lille at least stopped the rot.

And fans got a glimpse of the old Lennon on the touchline as the manager kicked every ball and felt every tackle.

The Parkhead boss showed his delight as David Turnbull turned in the eventual winner and gave the summer signing a big hug as he came off the pitch.

And the manager beamed with delight at the final whistle as he appeared to regain some of the swagger that has characterised both his playing and coaching career.

That confidence was evident in Lennon's post-match interview as he insisted it's not too late to catch Rangers.

He told BT Sport: "There were a lot of bonuses, Soro I thought was excellent. David, Klimala, I thought young Henderson had a fine game as well.

“It’s the first time Jullien and Duffy have played together and Connor Hazard in goal. So there’s a lot of pluses tonight, no question.

“We’ll try to win on Sunday and get the mentality right, keep the spirit going.

“I’ve got a lot of belief, I think there’s a long way to go in the season."
