Neil Lennon hints at Celtic exit for Olivier Ntcham as he reveals Marseille talks

Neil Lennon says he wouldn't be surprised if Olivier Ntcham leaves Celtic on Deadline Day.

The French midfielder is in talks with Marseille as he made it clear to the club he wants a fresh challenge away from Parkhead.

Ntcham, who has been linked with a move to Newcastle as well, has struggled to find form this season and has been left out of Lennon's squad in recent weeks in the Premiership.

Marseille appears to be in pole position to sign him and Lennon hinted there was a good chance he could be away before the transfer window shuts.

Lennon said: "There is interest in him so both parties are talking at the minute so we will see how that pans out.

"I have spoken to Oliver over the two years since I have been here.

"I think he is looking for a fresh start or to progress his career elsewhere and he's made that clear over a long period of time.

"I wouldn't be overly surprised if he left."
