Neil Lennon gives Celtic star Mikey Johnston the death stare as injured winger lands in the bad books

It's safe to assume Mikey Johnston is not in Neil Lennon's good books.

They say a picture paints a thousand words but, in the Celtic boss' case, it may well have been two.

BT Sport cameras were fixated on Lennon after Johnston was forced to come off injured in the win over St Johnstone, despite seemingly refusing the opportunity to be subbed just minutes earlier.

Patryk Klimala's arrival for Odsonne Edouard was delayed as Johnston went down struggling, but he insisted he carry on and Lennon committed to his third and final sub.

But with just a few minutes remaining on the clock, the young winger broke down again and had to make way, leaving Celtic with 10 men.

As he limped towards the tunnel, he would have surely felt the manager's death stare burning a hole through him.

Lennon was clearly unhappy and appeared to mouth something unrepeatable as Johnston passed.

It's another frustrating injury blow for the 21-year-old, having already missed a chunk of this season with fitness issues.

Regardless, Celtic cruised to a 3-0 victory over Saints to maintain their five point advantage at the Premiership summit.

Goals from Olivier Ntcham, James Forrest and Leigh Griffiths sealed a comfortable triumph at McDiarmid Park.
