Neil Lennon fires Celtic complacency warning as he tells stars to stay focused

Neil Lennon has warned his Celtic players not to let complacency wipe out their Old Firm victory when they swap a packed Ibrox for a plastic pitch at Hamilton on Saturday.

The Hoops boss will finally get his full squad back together today at Lennoxtown after the two- week international break that followed his side’s dramatic derby-day win against Rangers at the start of the month.

And the Parkhead boss is wary of his side allowing their standards to slip in a low-key lunchtime fixture – and blowing the three-point lead they have only just opened up over their city rivals.

Lennon said: “There is no point in winning at Ibrox and then slipping up at Hamilton. My problem is I won’t get a lot of them back until Thursday so I’ll have them for a couple of days and then we have an early kick-off – not that I’m complaining. I just have to hope they all come back fit and healthy.

“They will all come back in dribs and drabs so again it’s important to keep in contact with what is going on with them.

“Going from Ibrox to Hamilton is where you are looking to guys like Scott Brown, Callum McGregor, James Forrest and Ryan Christie – the lads who have been here for a while and who know what it’s all about.

“But for the new ones this will be new challenge. Going to Hamilton is a different environment from the Rangers game. Here you have to go different environments but you always have to win.”
