Neil Lennon fights his Celtic corner as under-fire boss convinced he can turn things around

Defiant Neil Lennon is convinced he can turn Celtic's fortunes around in the wake a thumping defeat at the hands of Sparta Prague.

The Hoops boss faces a battle for his Parkhead future after his flops were battered 4-1 as their Europa League campaign came to a crushing end.

Odsonne Edouard netted the opener but things quickly unravelled and the latest slapstick defensive effort allowed Lukas Julis to bag a brace and make it six goals in two games.

The desperate defeat comes only a day after Celtic ultras Green Brigade called for the Irishman to quit in a bid to energise their flagging Ten In A Row dreams.

Lennon admits his side's defending "unnerved" him but the 49-year-old believes he can remedy his side's woes.

Speaking after the defeat he said: "I've been in situations like this before as a manager and player.

"There is no reason for me to believe we won't turn this around."

But former teammate Chris Sutton concedes it will be "hard for Neil Lennon to see this out after that."
