Neil Lennon faces fresh Celtic hierarchy 'talks' as pressure builds on Hoops boss

Celtic boss Neil Lennon will face another meeting with the club's hierarchy to discuss his future at Parkhead, according to a report.

Defeat to Ross County in the Betfred Cup means Lennon's men have won just two of their last 10 in all competitions and tensions spilled over to some crowd trouble outside Celtic Park on Sunday evening.

Pressure is building on the Hoops legend as he looks to find any way to turn things around at Celtic but he faces fresh questions from Peter Lawwell and Dermot Desmond on Monday.

Sky Sports report the Celtic manager will need to provide suitable answers on what is going wrong to club chiefs in the wake of the first domestic cup defeat in 36 games.

It's the first time since 2016 Celtic have lost a cup game in Scotland and ugly scenes outside of Celtic Park saw two police officers injured.

Lennon insisted he won't quit the club and it could leave the club's board with a big decision as they look to battle for 10 In A Row.

Celtic are currently 11 points behind Rangers with two games in hand but are struggling for form in any competition.

As well as crashing out of the Betfred Cup on Sunday, Celtic were also eliminated from the Europa League on Thursday night with two games to spare.

They face a Scottish Cup Final on December 20 against Hearts.
