Neil Lennon explains Celtic team changes and gives Jozo Simunovic fitness update

Neil Lennon has said that Jozo Simunovic could be back in time for next weekend's Old Firm Derby at Ibrox.

The central defender has been missing of late due to a knee injury, and is not among the team to face St Mirren at Celtic Park this afternoon.

But Celtic boss Lennon told BBC Radio Scotland that the central defender could return in time for next weekend's match with Rangers.

He said: "There's some inflammation and swelling around the knee, so he's not available for today. He may make next week."

Explaining his decision to make two changes to today's team, and bring in Tom Rogic and Leigh Griffiths for Ryan Christie and Mohamed Elyounoussi, Lennon added: "It's a bit of rotation, that's all. Tom and Leigh have been playing well.

"I thought Tom had a great game against Copenhagen, and then he came off the bench the other night and got the goal against Livingston.

"Griffiths since the turn of the year has been very good."
