Neil Lennon Celtic team leak deja vu as raging Aston Villa boss goes mole hunting after Jack Grealish let out

Angry Aston Villa boss Dean Smith has vowed to whack the mole who revealed star man Jack Grealish would miss Sunday's 2-1 defeat to Leicester.

His words mirrored Celtic manager Neil Lennon as the the 50-year-old promised to "get to the bottom of it" after news emerged online over the weekend that he would miss out with discomfort in his leg.

The Irishman was adamant someone was "doing us in" back in October when his team to face Rangers revealed 12 hours before the game kicked off.

And Smith could barely hide his contempt as he told the guilty party he will find them as he watched his side's Champions League dream suffer a blow at the hands of Brendan Rodgers' side.

He said: “I have been made aware that on social media there have been rumours he wasn't going to play.

“If it has been coming out of our training ground then I will find out where that is coming from and reprimand it.

“It is something I wouldn't be happy with and we will certainly get to the bottom of it.”

But Smith is adamant Villa have enough quality to win matches without Grealish, who missed his first League game in 15 months and could now be out up to four weeks.

Smith added: "You are always going to miss a top class player, take Jack Grealish out of any team and you'd miss him but the XI that was out there was good enough to win.

“Jack is going to be a loss because he is an exceptional player with a great personality but we still had enough there to beat Leicester.

“I don't put the loss down to Jack Grealish not being in the team.
