Neil Lennon Celtic odds revealed as boss' early exit tipped

Celtic manager Neil Lennon is odds-on NOT to finish the season following his Ferencvaros failure.

The Parkhead club were eliminated from the Champions League with a 2-1 loss to the Hungarians on home soil.

They will now drop into the Europa League third qualifying round, and bookmakers feel that could have serious repercussions for Lennon's future.

Paddy Power now have the Celtic boss at 1/4 not to finish the season, and it's evens that he leaves before the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

However, the Premiership champions are 4/7 to retain their crown and 1/9 to beat Motherwell on Sunday.

A Paddy Power spokesman said: "Celtic have failed in their latest attempt to get back to the Champions League group stages – leaving Neil Lennon in urgent need of help.

“Let it be said, though, the Hoops remain heavily odds-on to win the Scottish Premiership – so their season should still come together. With or without the manager.”

Lennon rounded on his players after the defeat to the Hungarian champions.

He blasted: "There are some players who may want to leave.

"They have made inroads into that in the last six months or so.

"So if they don't want to be here, we have to do something about it.

"If they are making waves to leave the club they are obviously not committed.

"We want players committed to the club. I am not going to go into it but I am putting it out there because it has been bugging me for a long long time."
