Neil Lennon blasts Celtic fans' 'sad Orange b*****d' chants towards Derek McInnes

Neil Lennon has voiced his disgust at Celtic fans' sectarian chants aimed at Aberdeen counterpart Derek McInnes.

The Hoops boss spoke as his side celebrated winning an eighth successive title by beating the Dons 3-0 at Pittodrie.

It was an afternoon of celebration for Celtic. But Lennon admitted the chants towards his close friend McInnes left him disappointed.

McInnes sat in the stand serving a one-game ban for gestures made to the Celtic fans after being subjected to "sad Orange b*****d' slurs during the Scottish Cup semi-final against the Hoops last month.

Derek McInnes hits out at Celtic fans' sectarian chants and asks if SFA were listening

But the former Rangers midfielder was again targeted by Celtic fans who had travelled to the Granite City.

McInnes hit out afterwards and asked if the SFA braks were listening.

And Lennon added: “I am disappointed to say the least.

“I am disappointed for Derek, because I know what a great guy he is, he is a great football man with great integrity.

“I am sorry he wasn’t in the dugout today.

"I am a huge admirer of what he has done this year, and what he has done previously.”
