The 26-year-old told the ECHO she was at home with her fiancé at around 11.30pm on Tuesday when she heard a commotion outside her front door.
She said her neighbours had spotted a man on her drive and "put him in a citizen's arrest kind of thing and surrounded him until the police arrived.”
Patrycja said: “What the neighbours did was really heroic in my opinion."
She added: “They’ve been really brave to do that for everyone and I want to thank everyone in the community for what they done.”
Cheshire Police confirmed a 50-year-old man from Liverpool was arrested on suspicion of going equipped to burgle.
The man is currently in police custody assisting officers with their enquiries.
Patrycja said her neighbours Karl and Rob were the "main heroes of the night" but many other neighbours joined and offered support afterwards.
