Neighbours: Russell Crowe and 29 stars Erinsborough gave to the world

After more than 30 years on British televisions, Australian soap Neighbours is coming to an end this week.

The show has dominated screens for decades, originally airing twice a day on BBC 1, before moving to Channel 5 in later years. We were first welcomed to Erinsborough back in 1985 and 20 years later, the iconic programme made the Logie hall of fame as the longest standing Australian drama series in 2005.

Over the years, we've seen the highs and lows of the Ramsay Street residents and some incredible storylines. But we've also seen former soap regulars hit the big time in Hollywood or make history in the music industry.

From Oscar-winning Russell Crowe and critically-acclaimed Margot Robbie to all three Hemsworth brothers and chart toppers Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan, many have been catapulted to stardom thanks to Neighbours.

As the final episode airs this week after 37 years on our screens, we take a brief look back at a number of celebrities who starred in Neighbours through the decades and what they did next. From soap regulars to cameos, they may not have all started out on the show, but they all played their part in making it as loved as it was.
