Neighbours in a quiet Scots street where the body of a woman was discovered within a home say they have been kept in the dark over a police presence.
Officers are probing the 'unexplained' death of a 30-year-old woman after the alarm was raised on Hozier Street, Carluke, just before 5pm on Tuesday.
Residents told the Record cops have been stationed at the property since Tuesday and forensic officers were scouring the area on Wednesday.
One marked police vehicle remains outside the flat and an officer at the door.

The 30-year-old, who was found at the property, was described as a quiet lady by her neighbours.
One neighbour said: “She only just moved in in November time. You didn't often see her.
“Her blinds were often drawn for long periods of time. She kept herself to herself.
“Her car is still parked outside.”
Another added: “She hasn’t lived in the house long, nobody really knew her well.
"I hadn't seen her for around three or four weeks.
“That was it until the police arrived.”
Despite officers remaining at the scene for two days, neighbours say they have not spoken to anyone from Police Scotland.
One resident said: ““We don’t know anything about what has happened.
"Another neighbour phoned me to say a woman had died in the street. That was the first I heard of anything."
Another neighbour added: “I didn’t know the girl who moved in.
“Her lights were never really on.”
Enquiries into the woman’s death remain ongoing with officers currently treating is as unexplained.
A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: ““Police were called around 4.45pm on Tuesday following the sudden death of a 30-year-old woman at an address on Hozier Street, Carluke.
“Enquiries are currently ongoing and the death is being treated as unexplained at this time.
“A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
