Neighbours install 'dog window’ in fence so kids can pet enormous Newfoundland

A huge Newfoundland has been bringing joy to his neighbours’ children via a doggy window in their garden fence.

Yeti’s family have cut and framed a hole in their fence big enough for the giant dog’s head to fit through, and he greets passers by every day.

Posting to TikTok, user @ surfwifelife walked past Yeti’s house and said: “Let’s see if there’s a Yeti in the window today.” calling out “Yeti!”

Her daughter walks over to the window waiting for her fluffy neighbour to come and say hello, and within seconds the dog's huge head has popped through the window.

Her mum calls out "it’s a bear", as Yeti looks down at comparatively tiny French bulldog Ray Ray, who is enjoying their walk in the Southern Californian sun.

People couldn’t believe how big Yeti was, with viewers flocking to the comments wanting to pet him.

One said: “The fact that the window is so big and Yeti cannot fit through.”

“I was like, that window is WAY too big to keep the dog in… oh, never mind,” said another.

A third joked: “There have been documentaries about finding bigfoot and Yetis, but all they had to do was go into your backyard and call out his name.”

Another dog who has a garden ‘window’ of sorts in Phoenix the golden retriever.

The pup, from Melbourne, Australia, found a tiny peep hole in her garden fence, and now spends her time spying on her Samoyed neighbour, Bentley.

In a video posted to the TikTok account @phiphi_goldenretriever, PhiPhi smiles at her owner before returning to look through her fence hole, with the overlaying text that reads: “I love spying on my bestie next door.”

Another goldie, called Lady, has befriended one of her neighbours, too, in a Disney-like romance.

Lady passes by his house every day on her daily walk, where the lovestruck dog - also a goldie -throws his tennis ball through the garden gate for her.

The video, posted by ladyandtheblues read: “My neighbour's dog brings a ball to my dog every time we pass their house.”

And people just can’t get enough of their friendship, with one saying it gave them ‘Disney vibes’.

The compilation sees the dog pass Lady a gift through the gate eight times, with the social media star pup showing off a new collar and lead combo in each clip - including a cute festive bandana.
