Neighbours fans were left completely baffled at the end of Thursday's late-night episode on Channel 5, over an announcement.
The 35th anniversary specials all week have seen dramatic scenes, as villain Finn Kelly turned on those around him.
After trying to kill girlfriend Bea Nilsson by pushing her down a mine shaft, he was surprised to see she had survived and left her to die alone.
In the latest episode, Harlow Robinson came across the injured character but fell down the mine herself, leaving her trapped.
But in shocking scenes, Finn began throwing heavy rocks at the teenager before dropping a snake into the pit below, trying to kill them both.

Elsewhere, and some characters including Chloe Brennan and Gary Canning appeared to realise something wasn't quite right with Finn.
The show promised three deaths would air during the big anniversary, with one character already killed off.
Harlow's mother Prue, who was set to marry Gary, was killed when her car exploded earlier on in the week.

With Harlow and Bea in danger, soap legend Toadie Rebe is also feared to die after being hit over the head and left to drown by Finn on Tuesday.
But now fans fear one of these characters is already dead, after an announcement in the trailer for the final late-night special.
They were left taking to Twitter convinced they'd missed a death, or that one injured character is the second victim.

The voiceover claimed there was just one more victim left, when in fact there is two.
Taking to Twitter to share their confusion, one fan said: "Who has been bitten and if its one more death who was the 2nd is it Bea or Harlow?"
Another said: "We have only had one..PRUE... Not TWO of THREE?!Unless that means Toadie hasn't made it?!?!?"
A third added: "‘One more death’ so had toadie actually died then?"
But other viewers were quick to address the confusion, suggesting one of the three deaths would not air until the following week.
One fan said: "For everyone in the UK freaking out - yes, we’ve had one death so far, and yes, there’s one more death this week. The fallout from endgame will be far from over come the end of Friday’s episode."
Neighbours airs weekdays at 1:45pm and 5:30pm, while the late-night specials conclude at 10pm on Friday.
