Two neighbours were caught on camera hurling planks of wood at each other in a hilarious viral video dubbed “plank wars.”
The video, which has been viewed nearly seven million times, shows the men shouting at each other while trying to hit each other with planks hurled over a fence.
A woman tries to intervene in the fight, before the planks are hurled over the partition and one man tries to climb over and confront his neighbour.
The woman is then seen throwing a broom, which is returned without its head, before the row ends abruptly.
The shocking footage was filmed by Taran Stokoe from the window of his grandmother’s house.
It prompted laughs on Twitter, with @twatterleeds commenting: “For any American viewers - don't be alarmed this is just a tradition in England.
“Morning plank toss allows neighbours to show love and affection by tossing planks of fire wood to one another to keep homes warm in winter.
“Huge love shown at the end when he tosses some back.”
Josh Coyne added: “How many wooden planks do these people keep in their kitchens?”
