While Hollywood actor Guy Pearce's return for the last couple of episodes as Mike Young and Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan's return might have stolen the show for many, fans will also have loved the appearance by some much-loved characters from over the years.

Mainstays Paul Robinson, Karl and Susan Kennedy and Jarrod 'Toadie' Rebecchi were joined by a number of familiar faces from over the years on the finale, including Peter O'Brien, Margot Robbie, Delta Goodrem, Natalie Imbruglia Holly Valance, Kym Valentine, Jesse Spencer, and Natalie Bassingthwaighte.

Ian Smith's beloved Harold Bishop had been back for a few weeks while Lucinda Cowden first reprised her role as Melanie Pearson in 2021 after starring in the show between 1987 and 1991, and again in 2005.

But it was appearances by some other much-loved characters from over the years that had many fans tearing up.
