Two people in a Nottinghamshire village are celebrating after their lucky postcode banked them £1,000 each.
The two properties on High Leys Drive, Ravenshead, netted the cash when their NG15 9HQ postcode was announced as the daily winner on the People's Postcode Lottery.
Judie McCourt, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador, sent her well-wishes to the winners.
She said: “Congratulations to our winners. What a great surprise for them, I’m sure this news made their weekend.”
A minimum of 32 percent of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £500 million for thousands of good causes.
This draw was promoted by The Ramblers, which has received more than £10.1 million in funding from the players of the lottery scheme.
The charity works to protect and expand the places where people love to walk.
Many good causes close to the winners have also benefited from players’ support, and local charities can next apply for funding in August.
