Neeraj Chopra disappointed after falling short of 90m mark in Lausanne - WATCH

NEW DELHI: India's star javelin thrower and two-time Olympic medalist Neeraj Chopra has set new standards in Indian athletics. After clinching gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and silver at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Neeraj is now focused on breaking the elusive 90m barrier in javelin, a milestone achieved by only a few globally.

At the Paris Olympics, Neeraj threw 89.45m but lost to Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem, who set an Olympic record with a 92.97m throw.

On Friday, Neeraj improved his season’s best to 89.49m, finishing second behind Grenada's Anderson Peters, who threw 90.61m at the Lausanne Diamond League.

Peters finished third in Paris.
