Sean Dyche has revealed Seamus Coleman’s has undergone a successful operation on the knee injury sustained in Everton’s 2-2 draw with Leicester City at the start of the month.
The Blues’ right-back was forced off during first half stoppage-time with a nasty knee injury, which Dyche admitted after the full-time whistle ‘could be serious.’
Coleman confirmed he had not suffered ACL damage in a social media post shared two days after the match and Dyche has now offered a fresh update on the condition of the Republic of Ireland international.

"He did have an operation. It is straight forward in terms of the view from the medical side and the way they have treated it,” explained the Blues’ boss. “Apparently it has gone really well so hopefully it will be a straightforward recovery. All being well, he should be fit for next season.”
The 34-year-old is out of contract at the end of the current campaign and is yet to offer any indication over whether he will be remaining at the club. Asked if Everton fans can expect to see Coleman representing the Blues past this season, Dyche added: “I have spoken to the ones that needed a chat about things. He [Coleman] is well in the loop of where he sits at this football club.”
