Nedum Onouha makes Man City vs Fulham 'goalfest' prediction

Manchester City's clash with Fulham is expected to be a goalfest, according to one former City defender.

Pep Guardiola's men will welcome the Championship table-toppers to the Etihad Stadium for a 3pm kick-of on Saturday in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Fulham look set for a return to the Premier League next season having flown to the top of the Championship thanks in no small part to their excellent goal-scoring capabilities.

In January alone, Marco Silva's side have scored 24 goals including seven against Reading and six versus Bristol City and Birmingham City.

For this reason, ex-defender Nedum Onuoha is expecting another thrilling game for Pep's team.

Speaking to City's official website, Onuoha predicted: "Having played against Fulham and watched them for a few years, that’s what they do.

"They are not a side to park the bus – they try to be expansive; they try to score goals.

"I think Aleksandar Mitrovic has probably scored more goals than half the teams in the Championship, and their wingers do well too.

"But teams that come here with that attacking philosophy (find) it’s going to be a bit of a problem as City tend to control games and they have a lot of chances themselves.

"However, from a neutral point of view, for it to be a good tie you want it to be open and (I think) there will be so many goals in this game."
